If you have ever dreamed of driving a race car around a world class racing circuit but didn’t know where to start – Look no further than our Trackday Competition
This competition is aimed at both existing students and newcomers to SUZY Q School of Motoring, with no speed limits, speed cameras, pedestrians, roadworks, traffic lights or police cars – it’s about experiencing what you can do in a Team ASWR race car away from any restrictions of the public roads.
Don’t worry if the idea of driving on circuit sounds a bit intimidating. You will receive a full safety briefing including track driving techniques, followed by three limited speed laps led by a safety car so that you can familiarise yourself with the circuit and learn the racing line. You can then complete the remainder of the session at your own speed under supervision.
You’ll have the opportunity to learn new driving skills and you’ll be pleased to know it isn’t about driving on the limit, it’s an opportunity to experience the performance of a race car within a safe, controlled and professional environment.
To help you to improve your driving line around the circuit, brake boards and apex cones will provide a constant guide of where your car should be positioned to be as smooth as possible through each corner.
In addition to this, we have qualified racing drivers on hand ready to offer you advice and one-to-one in-car tuition.
We’ll tailor the day around your own experience. If you have never been on track before we’ll teach you the basics covering everything you’ll need to know to become a competent track driver or possibly future racing driver.
We’ll not only make you a more confident driver, we’ll also save you money – driving with smoothness and mechanical sympathy will drastically reduce the wear and tear on your vehicle.

The Venue – Oulton Park 
Widely acknowledged as the most picturesque race circuit in the country, Oulton Park is revered for its stunning surroundings and the spectacular racing that takes place on its hallowed tarmac. Hugely popular with fans and competitors alike, Oulton Park features rapidly changing gradients and blind crests, and presents a supreme challenge to drivers. The circuit hosts the traditional Easter weekend round of the British F3/GT Championships and features a number of other high profile events, including the British Touring Car Championship, the Historic Gold Cup event and a vintage sports car festival. Oulton Park broke records in July 2008 with the biggest crowd at any British Touring Car event in over a decade.
